VICTORINOX SWISS ARMY INOX DIVER WATCH REVIEW |
Was the Victorinox Swiss Army INOX Diver. This updates the initial version by having an added dive bezel, in addition to a bump in dimensions to 45mm. The cost has remained essentially exactly the same, so they didn't add too much having a cost hike for any couple of added features even though overall I love the brand new INOX Diver, there's a couple of a few things i might have done differently.
A primary reason I enjoyed the initial INOX was due to the understated
Almost simple tool watch look it'd. It was not anything flashy, also it was something around the right strap that may be outfitted up, but additionally a wrist watch which was all set to go into fight as they say. (It might get scratched to hell, however it could withstand lots of abuse). The Inox Diver isn't different within the technical aspects and Victorinox was wise to to produce diver variant of 1 of the most widely used releases of history couple of years. The greatest issue I've by using it though, may be the size. I don't realise why they increased to 45mm, when i felt 43mm was the right size. Maybe they believed adding the wide diver bezel will make the dial appear smaller sized, which may be the situation, but man is that this a piece of the watch. There's without doubt whenever you pick this sucker up the situation walls are solid and thick. If lightweight watches are the factor, look elsewhere.
Additionally to creating its very own in-house rattrapante, Breitling also outfitted the beginning-stop mechanism having a special isolating mechanism to preserve energy. So far as I'm able to find, the Patek Philippe reference 5370 may be the only other watch to make use of something similar to this. Breitling's mechanism has two patents and enables the movement to be more efficient. Essentially, when you begin the chronograph and prevent the very first chronograph hands, it's locked in isolation, separated in the still-running train, creating less friction. Whenever you press the button again, the hands is re-connected and continues as always.
Knowing the INOX, or read my overview of it
You can observe this is really exactly the same watch so far as design, except it features a rotating dive bezel and a few extra text around the dial, together with slight applied marker changes (round makers added rather of rectangle). With this stated, I'm not going to talk about all of the aspects again, as it might be redundant. The bezel is nearly exact towards the originals fixed bezel, using its beveled edges. Initially I didn't such as this aspect whatsoever, and wanted they opted for a classical dive bezel. Searching back inside my review, I recognized when they did that, it might remove among the key aspects as to the makes this straightforward and rugged watch stick out. The problem though, would be that the the figures around the bezel aren't easily readable straight lower. My other issue is they might have lumed the bezel, but chose to not. While lumed bezels are typically useless, I simply think they missed the boat here. Seeing the way they lumed the dial and hands though, (more about that later), it's most likely better if they didn’t.
Another change may be the added dial text, which isn't a lot a problem itself, though Used to do like the clean dial from the original. The actual issue is the date cutout, which just about cuts directly into the dial text. It's in the same location because the non diver INOX, but due to the added dial text, it simply looks weird. I might be nitpicking, but it's the little details which make the main difference for me.
